Yoga for Kids
When presented in “big kid” language, yoga can help counter the stress experienced by young people living in a hurry-up world.
6 week series • Wednesdays starting May 8 from 4-5pm • School ages 5-8 • $65 per child with a 20% sibling discount

SUMMER YOGA & ART CAMPS

When presented in a child’s language, yoga can help counter the stress experienced by young people living in a hurry-up world. Daily age appropriate themes and activities include yoga, stories, games, art and of course healthy snacks. We end our week with a field trip to Full Tilt Ice Cream!

Celebrate your lil’ one’s next birthday with us! Choose from our themes or create your own:
• Underwater Adventure
• Trip to the Zoo
• Downward Doll
• Pajama Party
• Yoga & Art
• Yoga Mat Painting Party (Additional $20 per child and best for ages 5 and up)
Our fantastic and creative faculty will present an age appropriate class which will include fun activities utilizing a wide variety of creative resources, props and music. After a 45-60 minute class exploring your chosen theme, the space and table is available for refreshments provided by the host family. Birthday parties are booked on studio space and teacher availability.
• Birthday party fee is $125.00 for up to 10 guests. This limit applies to children, there is not a limit on the number of adults attending, but please be cautious of the tight quarters.
• Want us to do it all for you? We have teamed up with an Event & Catering Co. that will take your child’s birthday over the top. Choose your theme and we will decorate, provide drinks, snacks and cake as well as run the entire party after their yoga session for an additional $10 per child.
• Length of party time is one and a half hours with half hour before and after for setup and take down.
• Payment is due upon scheduling.
• Cancellation policy: when one week notice of cancellation is given, there is a $50 cancellation fee. If one week notice is not given, the full payment will be retained by Center Studio.

“Lately, I’ve been working on very small art – jewelry. For this project, I am really excited about creating something on a large scale, installation style. My current job at an eco-friendly remodeling company inspired me to use mostly repurposed materials for the project, something I’ve always done to a point because of budget, but now want to do with more intention. I’m inspired by people who evoke feeling with their art – whimsy, nostalgia, longing. This project has made me think a lot about creation (science, religion or art) and whether the process is ever finished. I am intrigued by the time it takes to recreate nature (using man-made materials) and the level of success actually achieved in the attempt.”
THAI YOGA with Jen Sayers
Thai yoga therapy is an ancient and traditional practice of compassionate healing. Also called ‘lazy man’s yoga’, Thai Yoga Therapy is done on a thick floor mat and fully clothed. The receiver can completely relax while the practitioner puts them into various shapes and poses. The practitioner then uses leaning pressure, reflexology, compression, stretching and twisting to restore range of motion and open the flow of energy. Your session will be specifically designed to fit your physical needs; open discussion throughout the treatment is encouraged.
