Above the Barre
Above the Barre is a fusion class including strength training of ballet, Pilates and yoga. It is broken down into 3 segments: A dynamic warm up, standing strength segment and time on the floor for the core. ATB encourages participants to work within their own range of motion with high repetitions using light hand weights (1-5lbs) and a small playground style ball. ATB will build muscle, increase muscular endurance, and improve balance and flexibility. The workout is intense but all fitness levels are encouraged to join and work at their own pace and within their individual range of motion.
A fusion workout inspired dance, martial arts and Yoga. Nia blends music and carefully choreographed routines for EVERY BODY and fitness level. Through expressive movement – the Body’s Way – Nia empowers people to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and well-being.
Pilates, a type of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates, enriches and rehabilitates the entire body from inside out. Our PT Pilates mat class is for all levels combined with physical therapy based exercises to increase core strength and tone, improve muscle flexibility and joint mobility with minimal risk of injury. No experience is needed and the class is safe for people with pain.
Our Hatha based Yoga classes are designed to support and encourage all levels of practitioners, instructors teach to their specialties including Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar. Beginners receive instruction and help appropriate to their level, while experienced students are offered more challenging variations of poses. Teachers will cater the level of students present.

• Remember to be respectful of other students, which includes recognizing your own chatter, making sure there is space for everyone, perfumes/colognes or anything that might be disruptive.
• Please bring a bottle of water, and a mat (Yoga, Pilates & Barre) if you have one. Note that the studio has minimum number of mats to share but also sells mats and BPA free water bottles if needed.
• Wear fitted exercise clothing in which you can sweat and move in. Also, please arrive to the studio about 15 minutes before your first class to meet your instructor and fill out a short “new student” form. This will also leave you ample time to ask any questions, prepare for class and relax onto your space. Open your mind, and be prepared to have fun.
• Shoes are optional during some of our fitness classes (Zumba, Boot Camp, or Barre), but not necessary. We ask you to remove your shoes for mat work if you are using one of ours.
